My brother is a hero. During the Covid 19 crisis he has worked nonstop to help hospitals have special cubicle curtains that are reducing the risk of virus spread. His company produces special hospital curtains that are recyclable and extremely easy to quickly replace. This allows staff at hospitals to replace the protective curtains in only a few minutes after every virus infected patient is moved from one location to another, which allows the next patient to get a clean room faster than they would with traditional hospital curtains.
It is a known problem that virus and infection continue to live for long periods of time on traditional heavy fabric curtains that wrap around hospital beds and exam tables. Part of the problem is they are extremely difficult to replace so they remain unchanged for months while accumulating dangerous germs that can spread through contact. This situation can cause what is known as “Hospital Acquired Infections.”
The traditional hospital curtains are very heavy and have those metal chains. They require ladders and sometimes two people to replace them with fresh curtains. It can take 30 minutes to replace them which leads to longer delays before patients can be examined by doctors and medical professionals.
But the virus reducing hospital curtains that my brother’s company makes, are much lighter and don’t use those chains. They can be replaced by one person in about one minute without a ladder. And, they are easily recyclable. The company, On The Right Track, has scrambled to push production to handle significantly increased demand from 100’s of hospitals. And, they’re also getting more hospitals to switch to the safer curtains.
Here is a video about the On The Right Track recyclable virus reducing hospital curtains.
